<reviewbody>New direction for kaki. I am all for change but this is really mediocre compared with her old sound. The band sounds decent but not real tight, and the vocals have good intentions. I think she could have done something really special with a band, and there are moments here and there. And it is cool that she is going for a real chilled out vibe/atmosphere. Overall I just want solo kaki back.
Her solo guitar playing is what gained her the initial fan base, and maybe this is just a phase so thats cool. Sound quality is normal, and the drums can get loud sometimes.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>the elliott smith cover she plays is "angeles" from his either/or album... check it out if you haven't. also the track titled "?" is "carmine st.". it sounds like a totally different song with the band and extended intro and stuff, but if you listen to it you can hear the main rift. thanks so much for getting this up so soon... ive been looking all over for some new kaki stuff, but no one is posting anything. i knew you were gonna record this show though, because you did with the other one. thanks a lot.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>The sound levels and overall recording of this are pathetic. it tool 10 minutes to download the FLAC version of one short song then you could barely hear it. Don't waste your time on this one...Kaki may be great but the recording is a waste!</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>it sound decent but could be much better if the levels were higher or the volume was normalized. why is it when i download her bootlegs on here "all the landslides birds have seen" is the wrong title for the song on the track? it's actually "magazine" not "all the landslides"

i actually taped her show at the san francisco one with my mini disc recorder and sound pro mics. kaki knows i taped that show and told her i would post on archive.org but dont know how to upload and use all these tools with flac. i just know know how to upload on this site. if anyone could help me out i'd appreciate it. msg me on aim: sorcerergnome</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Saw 4 tapers there, so this version must be one of them. Fell in love with Kaki's solo work, and I enjoyed the direction her most recent album is taking. I respect the new direction - at least she is not resting on her laurels and solo playing 'Playing With Pink Noise' to death. Kaki wants to rock. But her delicate sound is undermiked. The Ark in Ann Arbor is a fantastic, intimate venue with great acoustics, but...I suspect that taping the show was difficult because whomever was managing sound for the band had the levels for the drums WAY TOO LOUD in the mix, and Kaki's guitar and her vocals TOO LOW. Plus, Kaki doesn't project when she sings, as if she is only singing to herself. We sat on the right side of the stage so we got an earful of the drums; and based on my listening to other summer '06 shows, the same problems occur in nearly every recording. Great concept, poor follow through. Get a new sound engineer.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>The volume on these FLACs is terrible. I could not tell that anything was playing with winamp.
Analyzing the WAVs with Nero shows a flat line on most tracks. Maybe the other formats are better, but this isn't worth downloading as source.

This is also a dup - same event - same taper - same problem:

<reviewbody>So you think 16 bit is the same as 24 bit? gg buddy. That said, yeah, the mix was crummy so it's a suboptimal recording.</reviewbody>
